GreenYellow confirms the signature of an unilateral purchase agreement with Ardian, to enter the Group's capital as the new majority shareholder

Following the competitive process initiated several weeks ago, GreenYellow, an expert in decentralised solar photovoltaic production, energy efficiency projects and energy services in France and abroad, announces the signature today by the Casino Group, Tikehau Capital and Bpifrance of a unilateral purchase agreement with Ardian, via its Infrastructure activity, for the sale of a majority stake in GreenYellow.

This transaction will allow GreenYellow to accelerate its model as an operator owning and operating its assets on a long-term basis, and to pursue its European expansion.

In 15 years, GreenYellow has become a major player in the energy transition of companies and communities, by deploying a decentralised and global platform for solar, energy efficiency and smart energy services, the company now operates in 16 countries and on 4 continents. GreenYellow has an advanced photovoltaic pipeline of 764 MWp (additional pipeline of opportunities of 3,701 MW) and an advanced energy efficiency pipeline of 157 GWh (additional pipeline of opportunities of 1,096 GWh).

"This transaction confirms the success of what we have been building since 2007 with the pioneering vision of the Casino Group and its CEO, Jean-Charles Naouri, and the tremendous commitment of all our teams. It also confirms the relevance of our decentralised platform model, as we were among the first to invest in this decentralised market, which is now at the heart of the energy transition. GreenYellow is well positioned to continue to play a full part in the growth of these buoyant markets. We are delighted to welcome Ardian to write a new page in our history and in our international growth, in the service of our ambition to become a world leader in the energy transition", said Otmane Hajji, Chairman of GreenYellow.
